Just close enough to its
metropolitan neighbors (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex) , yet far enough removed to allow the
peaceful seclusion and wholesome beauty of country living at its best! Palo Pinto
County is rich in history and dazzling with promise. Located inside
the county is Mineral Wells. Most everyone is captivated by the community's rustic
beauty and captured by its warmth in just one visit.

The Brazos River has cut its way through the Palo Pinto
Mountains for centuries. In the 1940's the river was dammed up to form a huge lake nestled
within the dramatic North Texas hill country. Possum Kingdom Lake is famous
for family reunions and the numerous Boy scout camps. The natural views are utterly
extraordinary! Lake Possum Kingdom is a Mecca for water sport enthusiasts and
outdoor lovers. |
