The Mineral Wells Baker hotel opened its doors in 1929. It was designed after the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas, by Wyatt Hendrick of Fort Worth. This 14 story structure is 180 feet tall, containing some 450 rooms and 250,000 square feet. The Hotel closed its doors in 1972..
